prisoners are being penalized by death in most cases they are committed with. 71% of  the total poll say that prisoners should not be sentenced to death based on the crime they committed. 29% of the total poll say that prisoners should be sentenced to death for committing a crime and must face the consequence. Of Illinois, 69% say that prisoners should not be sentenced to death while 31% say they should. most people say that although prisoners shouldn’t be sentenced to death, they should receive a death penalty if the crime is overall terrible and the evidence is not deniable to the crime. Others say that the victim’s family should decide the punishment of the prisoner. People against death penalty say that people are too easily convinced to death penalties. They also say that a life sentence in prison is a harsher penalty.  Only certain crimes should be accounted for a death sentence such as murders under the influence of drugs and genocide. Death penalties can also be the cause from racism in the court trial. Some cases were solved in a death penalty which was not necessary. Those crimes being similar to drug possession, robbery, and possession of a firearm that was not fired.
